NextWords

Write in the language you are learning. As you write, the app suggests how the sentence could continue, and explains each suggestion in your own language.

How to use it

Sign in with Apple. The first time, the app tells you that your text is sent to OpenAI to write the suggestions, and asks you to agree.
Choose the language you write in, your level, the type of writing and the style from the settings button next to Suggest.
Write a few words and tap Suggest. Tap a suggestion to add it to your text; the next suggestions come at once.
Tap Topic for a writing prompt with an opening sentence, and Context to tell the app who the piece is for.
For Japanese, turn on Furigana to see the reading above each kanji, and Hán Việt (when your own language is Vietnamese) for the Sino-Vietnamese reading.

Questions

What does the ring beside the settings button mean?

It is your free usage for the day. Tap it to see how many tokens you have used and when it resets (00:00 UTC). When it is full, suggestions stop until the reset.

Is my writing stored?

Not on our server. It stays on your phone. To write suggestions, the text is sent to OpenAI; see the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account?

Tap your initial at the top right, then Delete account. Your settings and usage counters are deleted at once.

Some furigana are wrong

Readings come from the iPhone's own Japanese dictionary and can differ from the reading you expect in rare words. Tell us the word and we will look at it.

It says something went wrong

Check your connection and try again. If it keeps happening, write to us with the time it happened.
